FASHIONABLE YET practical, hooded scarves are fun to make and wear. This design by Bergere de France features elegant cables and a patterned rib, and is finished off with chunky tassels on the ends of the scarf and the peak of the hood. It’s knitted here in an aran-weight blend of wool and alpaca from Bergere de France, called Pure Nature. This rounded, roving yarn comes in a palette of eight soft shades, achieved using 100% natural dyes.

Thread a new piece of yarn approximately 30cm long through the middle of the loops on the card and tie at the top. Slip the yarn off the card, insert your scissors into the loop and cut at the bottom. Tie another piece of yarn around all of the loops, approximately 4.5cm from the top.
