🧶 How to make a EASTER EGG POUCH


A decorative crochet pouch shaped like a flower basket for an Easter egg.
Worked in the round from bottom to top without cutting the yarn.

🧵 Materials

  • Cotton thread (125 m / 25 g)

  • Hook 1.25 mm

  • Yardage: 35–40 m

✂️ Abbreviations (US Terms)

  • ch – chain

  • sl st – slip stitch

  • sc – single crochet

  • hdc – half double crochet

  • dc – double crochet

  • tr3 – triple treble crochet

  • st – stitch

  • BPsc – back post single crochet

🧶 Pattern

Round 1:                                                             

ch 15, join with sl st (15 sts)

Round 2:

ch 3, 35 hdc in ring, join (36)

Round 3:

ch 2, 35 BPsc, join




Round 4 (relief pattern):

  • Skip 4 sts

  • tr3 in 5th st

  • sc back into 2nd st behind

Repeat alternating:

  • tr3 in odd stitches

  • sc in even stitches (behind)

Total: 18 tr3

Round 5:

Repeat Round 3


Round 6 (mesh):

ch 3
ch 3, skip 2, dc ×11
ch 3, join (48)

Round 7:

48 sc

Round 8:  48 BPsc

Round 9: Repeat Round 4

Round 10: Repeat Round 3

Round 11: ch 5, skip 3, sch 4, skip 3, sc ×10 ch 2, dc

🌸 Round 12 (flowers) Work sc under arch, ch 2, sc next arch

➡️ Flower inside ring:

Turn work clockwise each step:

  • sc, ch1, 2 dc, ch1, sc (3 sides)

  • finish with clusters of:

    • 2 dc, ch1, sc  .Repeat around

Round 13: sc under arch (from back), ch 4 repeat.Finish with dc.

Rounds 14–16:ch 4, sc in arch repeat

Round 17:  ch 3 ,ch 4, dc in arch repeat

Join

👉 Fit to egg – add rounds if needed

  • Fasten off

  • Thread ribbon through arches

Option 2: Crochet cord

  • ch 51

  • sl st back

  • repeat second side

  • attach and tie bow
