This beautiful handmade crochet jacket is a real gem! With its comfortable open knit, it offers a light texture, perfect for transitional seasons. The pastel cream shade serves as the perfect canvas for the vibrant stripes in lilac, yellow and green that adorn the hood and sleeves, adding a playful and fresh touch. The small square details with floral patterns on the pockets complete the design with a sweet, feminine touch.

skein mohair (500m/100g),
wet half-wool (500m/100g),
bobbin merino (1500m/100g, I take a thread in three folds),
Reel tweed + merino (1500m/100g, I take a thread in three folds.
I will crochet the main canvas and square motifs with crochet No2.
- I will knit the product with a single canvas, a classic raglan on top, for size 48-50.
Start from the neck, pick up a chain of air loops or knit the initial row with arches of the length we need.
I have 37 arches for the neck. Next, divide them into several parts in the following way: shelves of 6 arches, 5 for each sleeve, 11 for the back, 1 for each raglan line.
Next, knit with an openwork pattern according to the scheme. Near the raglan lines, make even additions of stitches and introduce them into the pattern (diagram in the gallery below).

Knit the yoke to the required height, try it on, the lower edge of the shelves should be at the level of the armpits. Next, we move on to knitting an "Asian" sprout on the back details. I have a sprout height of 8 rows of openwork pattern (about 7 cm).
For undercuts on each side, I make one enlarged arch (4 CH, and a column with 3 wraps in the first CH). For the required width of my cardigan, this is enough, but, if necessary, the width of the undercut can be increased.
Continue knitting the main part of the cardigan, connecting the back and two shelves.

he decoration of the lower part of the cardigan will be bright square motifs. I added the scheme of motifs below in the gallery.
First, knit individual motifs. Then we combine them into a strip, and attach them to the main canvas.
From the strip of motifs, I continue to knit the main part of the cardigan to the required length. You can continue with an openwork pattern like on a yoke or a multi-colored pattern like mine. The same pattern will be on the hood and sleeves. See the pattern scheme below in the gallery.
Along the lower edge of the cardigan, make a relief elastic with a crochet.

Sleeves. First, continue knitting in circular rows with an openwork pattern. Then I switch to a multi-colored pattern. Next, the cuff is a embossed crochet elastic band.
Hood. From the neck, from the initial row, knit the hood canvas up. Or, if desired, you can knit any collar.
Along the edge of the hood and shelves, make a relief elastic band with a crochet with holes for buttons.
The size of the finished product is 48-50. The length of the product is 63 cm.

The consumption of yarn of each color separately is as follows:
milk (basic) – 330 g,
lilac – 45 g,
pink – 45 g,
green – 30 g,
yellow – 30 g.
Total yarn consumption, cardigan weight 480 g.
Tip: Since the jacket has pastel and bright colors, choose accessories and clothing that don't compete with its design, but rather highlight it. Neutral colors (white, beige, gray, light denim) are always a safe choice.
