To create this bag, you'll need to create 18 hexagons. Each hexagon needs to measure 5 inches {From corner to opposite corner}. I would suggest that you block each hexagon before you stitch your bag together. Here's a list of the hexagons you'll need to crochet.
Crochet 6 Dahlia Hexagons - Using a 7.00mm Hook.
Crochet 6 Vintage Flowered Hexagons - Patterns uses a 5.50mm Hook, but I used a 6.00mm Hook to achieve the right size.
Crochet 2 Vintage Flowered Hexagons, but only using 1 colour (denim) - Using a 6.00mm Hook.
Crochet 2 Smaller Dahlia Hexagons  - Using 6.00mm Hook.
Crochet 2 Smaller Vintage Flowered Hexagons - Using 5.00mm Hook
One you've crocheted all your hexagons, lay out your hexagons in a design that you like or you can follow the diagram below.
Taking your 7.00mm crochet hook and some denim yarn, crochet the hexagons together using single crochets. I found THIS tutorial very helpful! Once you've crocheted all your hexagons together, you'll be left with the shape of a bag. Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.

Handle Flap/Loop
Taking your 6.00mm hook, start of by attaching your denim yarn to the top left-hand corner of the hexagon on the right side of the top of the bag. The example below should help explain this step.
Row 1- Chain 1. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet Decrease. Crochet 26 Front Post Half Double Crochets across, making sure to space them out evenly. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet Decrease. You should have 28 stitches. Turn your work.
Row 2- Chain 1, crochet 1 Back Post Half Double Crochet in the same stitch. Crochet 1 Back Post Half Double Crochet into the next 27 stitches.
Row 3- Chain 1, crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet in the same stitch. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet in the next 7 stitches. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet Decrease. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet in the next 8 stitches. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet Decrease. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet in the next 8 stitches. You should have 26 stitches.
Row 4- Chain 1, crochet 1 Back Post Half Double Crochet in the same stitch. Crochet 1 Back Post Half Double Crochet in the next 25 stitches.
Row 5- Chain 1, crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet in the same stitch. Crochet 1 Front Post Half Double Crochet in the next 25 stitches.
Row 6- Repeat row 4.
Row 7- Repeat row 5.  Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Border - Taking your 6.00mm hook and yarn (dove heather) Single Crochet  all around the top/edge of the handbag as well as the handle flap. {Note: When you reach the corners, crochet 1 single crochet in that stitch. Chain 1, then crochet 1 single crochet into the same stitch again to create a nice corner.} Slip Stitch into the first single crochet.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Now taking the bamboo handles, place 1 handle underneath 1 of the handle flaps. Then wrap the handle flap around the handle, and sew the end of the flap to the inside of the bag.
Repeat the same step on the other side of the bag.
Once you've completed the handbag, you'll want to line the inside of the bag using your cotton material. {Note: I used THIS tutorial, as I found it very easy and helpful.}source
